Demand is growing for Veteran Affairs mortgages, or what are better known as VA loans. What’s great about these mortgages is that they don’t always require a down payment and they are available to both military veterans and active military members. The way VA Loans work is they are made by private lenders, but guaranteed by the Department of Veteran Affairs, which means they don’t require mortgage insurance and there is no minimum credit score requirement.
All these benefits and more are essential to veterans and current military members because they are one of the few mortgage options available for those that may not have the necessary money needed for a down payment because of military service on behalf of our country.
As a real estate broker, U.S. Air Force veteran and a member of the Veterans Association of Real Estate Professionals myself, I’m hosting an upcoming seminar on VA Loan Eligibility to help better explain the process and what it entails to our local South Florida military community.
The VA Loan Eligibility Seminar will take place on November 18, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the American Legion Post #133 in Palmetto Bay located at 16401 SW 90th Avenue. Refreshments will be served. If you are interested in attending, please RSVP here, or call Roger Snyder at 305-987-2859, or register at the door upon arrival.
